If you only need to keep the threads clear you can use nylon screws and then remove them after they get cool.

Shorted to the sheild or the BGA balls are shorted? Sheilds move a lot during reflow. If this is the case, place some adhesive or peelable solder mask on either side of the shield and baords to stop it from moving.

Could anyone tell me what the results would be if I used Lead Free parts with Lead Paste? Will there be solder joint issues? This is kind of new to me to start implementing the lead free process. Thanks for any comments.

The RoHS legislation says that it possible to have an exception from lead. That means that You are allowed to have Pb in the solder joint! While the component and the pcb must be RoHS compliant! Isn't that fun?

You need to verify if you're getting up to the needed temps. It looks like you're not. I'd say it started to reflow but never reached a long enough time. Nitrogen may help with further wetting.

Your paste is oxidizing in reflow and not coelescing (spelling?) We failed kester W.S. for reasons such as this. There NoClean is a little better but we do not use that either. I would switch pastes and I will bet that your problem majically disapp
