Stencil Aperture Reduction - Need Feedback

You should be fine. A fifteen percent reduction of these pads will probably improve reliability, depending on spacing of course.

Solder Short in the passives components in the Solder Side

IPC SM 782 has some info on wave solder pad geometries. We usually like .03" spacing to any uncommon conductors. I would assume that you are seeing shorts between components and vias or adjacent parts? Russ

Stencil Storage

Electronics Forum | Sun Feb 29 07:22:28 EST 2004 | Jack

HI, I have quite a build up of print stencils which I need to keep but with little room. What do guys think about the remountable foils which take up less space? Are they robust enough? I have heard they are quite dangerous in the wrong hands also

We use a SAWA to clean our stencils and it performs quite well on solder paste but not so great with epoxy. Operators find the machine very easy to use and like mentioned before it takes up minimal space and has a lower intial and operating cost.

Recomendations? Fuji CP7 or Univ HSP4797?

Electronics Forum | Tue Jul 13 02:32:56 EDT 2004 | fastek

Not to mention the costs of FCM based machines. $1.2 million USD for an FCM-2 with 100 feeders was the price a year ago. Now that's expensive floor space!

If you are using FlexProg, you define the order (refdes, x, y, t, part no). CSV, space, tab, colon, semicolon delimited are all acceptable, definitely ASCII text format.
