| Hello, | | I'm a student assistant in a research project that deals with the simulation of PCB assembly systems. At the moment I collect information about SMDs. | My problem is how to assign the correct feeder width to various devices in a simulat

Loading leadless parts(passives)by hand

We are a small division. We are starting up a leadless line with an old screen printer and a convection oven. At this time we don't intend to get any sort of pick and place assistance and wil be loading by hand. We find the biggest problem with th

Thermoplastic Casing?

Electronics Forum | Tue Jan 12 17:03:59 EST 1999 | Ryan Jennens

How is everybody? I was asked about any problems that would be associated with having a plastic casing injection molded around an assembled PCB. I am not sure if injection molded plastic has to be hot, I am assuming so (can they use epoxies?).

We have a new PTH board that utilizes lap pads on the B/S. Some of the pads are paired closely together and are aligned at angles (30,45,60 degrees)to the boards direction of travel through the wave. The pads most always bridge together. I realize th
