Electronics Forum | Wed Nov 10 10:22:10 EST 2004 | Mike Campbell

We are an OEM manufacturer, and are beginning to look at how we will be affected by the ROHS and WEEE directives. As of now we have many questions, and few answers. Does anyone know of a good comprehensive source where one could get information on:

BGA's ramp up rate in a convection oven

Electronics Forum | Tue Dec 28 10:04:01 EST 2004 | Mark

No delta T issues as I am not actually reflowing the component to the PCB. This is for moisture sensitivity testing as per JEDEC 020C Standard. Trying to duplicate a profile in the standard and am having trouble reaching a component ramp rate of 3

feeder pitch

Electronics Forum | Mon Feb 14 13:25:52 EST 2005 | gregp

EIA-481 standard allows the maximum pitch on tape to be 4mm less than the tape width (12mm width and larger). So it is within the standard allowances. As for how common 20mm pitch on 24mm tape is I can not say. I am surprised a 24mm tape feeder ca

Keep in mind if you are trying to add more pressure on a standard head you must use the following increments: 150, 250, 350 and 450. If you use 175 it will automatically go to 150. There are only four settings on a standard head. On a C4 Head you may

What types of tests are performed to help evaluate solder integrity in the field over a length of time (say about 10 years)? I was thinking humidity tests, temperature cycling tests... but I don't even know what standards to test to. I want to tes

[sorry for the first post, but I was not registered] So, we are in a strange situation: We have new Hot Air Levelling Lead Free PCB, but our process is not ready to lead free, so that we have Sn/Pb solder paste, standard reflow profile, etc... What

Label feeders

Electronics Forum | Wed Jun 14 08:52:03 EDT 2006 | adlsmt

Is anyone aware of any manufacturers of kapton dots for masking boards that come on tape with feed holes punched on the side? It seems like it would be pretty easy to modify a standard feeder to to do labels if the carier was punched for a standard f

Throw out component from - placement machine

Thanks Darby for your comment and absolutely agree with you. What we are trying to define here is a KPI for throw out. but before that, we need to get a guideline or standard as reference. in this case, if no any industry standard then we can use cur
