Steve - you must not work to IPC class 2 or 3 requirements. If the solder is "pillowed" around the lead, I would strongly suspect a wetting problem. Most of the Paladium leads I see soldered have a strong line of demarcation but no pillowing. Hav

You should be able to do it with the proper epoxy. I found one several years ago that was so strong during the sheer test the board delaminated and gave before the glue. I did not go with it for rework reasons, thats something you might want to th

This pattern indicates flex cracking due to excessive bending of the board or fixture after soldering. Ceramic is strong in compression, but weak in tension. When bending causes damaged parts, look at: * Board flexes, ceramic is strong in compressio

Hi as this has a gold flash the nickle should be active an not require strong fluxes, i would suggest either your not getting enough heat into it (unlikely if your seeing dewetting). or that you have a plating problem the nickle has oxidised before

We currently use Loctite 348 chipbonder to secure large parts that will hang under the board when reflowing the second side. Rework has been complaining that they sometimes have to remove those parts to make repairs and it's difficult to remove them
