Recycling Matrix Trays

Looking for outside company that recycles matrix trays and plastic reels for surface mount components. I am trying to find a company that will provide boxes and be willing to pickup our reels and matrix trays to return back to suppliers for refund.

Hi ChrisN Have you talked with your supplier that is sending the components into your plant in trays. They are putting the components into the trays or their source is. One of them should be able to give you credit for each returned tray. Ken Bli

No Clean Solder/WS Flux

Hi, No clean mean is no need to clean. Of couse if you usin incompatibility solvent to clean, the white residue will appear. If cleaning is needed, source the suitable solvent and this always suggested by your solder paste supplier. regards

BGA dead bug pick and place

Base on the PORON foam rubber recommended, is it possible to apply on small BGA chip of 4x4 ball size 0.3mm. Any specific part no and supplier for this type of foam and is it a anti-static material? Would it be possible to punch out at dia. 3mm?

Yeah, there's a MELF nozzle. Check with Fuji or one of the many after-market guys, mostly Asian suppliers. Big reel, no big deal, unravel it and reload in 7" reels.

As a starting point, consider that these component leads may not be getting hot enough. Measure the temperature profile on the leads that do not solder well to be sure: * Heating and cooling ramps are within the paste supplier's recommendations. * C

one more thing, how many of these are you planning on using? It might be advisable to have the supplier strip and reball with a more appropriate alloy to prevent ball collapse.
