Inernal use only, mainly for test fall out. We have a 3"x4" tag that gets attached. This tag identifies reason for fail and follows the brd until it is repaired, the tag is then removed and info is logged under the assy p/n & serial number.

Basic text tags like etc would allow one to make certain lines or words stand out for greater emphasis. Tags like would allow one to organize the lines and words. Tags like and the like would enable one to organize information into a useful char

We just switched to using a paint marker to tag our xouts, and it fixed alot of the problems with using labels(causes over pasting) and using whiteout pens. what were using is the same brand we use in our inspection dept for tagging issues, UniPos

I am curious what the identifications tags actually do. bar code, p/n etc. Are they for in process use or do they ship with the board. Why a tag rather than printing the info on the board.

And if you check the tags you will find over half are not even ESD smocks. Companies like everyone to look the same but they don't like the price tag on the real ESD smocks so the buy normal smocks and make everyone wear them.

sorry to say that the mpm's do not have the year on their tag's. Some of the newer ones do, but not the ap or up model's. They may have the year that they were re-manufactured, but not all of the ones that were remanufactured even have that tag. I
