Obsolete parts - what to do?

Electronics Forum | Mon Sep 19 09:20:57 EDT 2016 | emeto

I would probably try to find who of these sellers(that Sarason suggested) will do the job for you. If you can take anything for it, take it. If not-scrap it. I am pretty sure sorting them is not worth the time and effort.

Juki 2060 internal conveyor stopped working

Electronics Forum | Mon Nov 21 15:52:21 EST 2022 | crystalw4280

The internal conveyor stopped working...won't take board in. Says there is a board inside machine...is it a sensor problem? Any suggestions? Nothing led up to this. Just started machine up after weekend, and it will not take the board in.

Solder Pastes Inspection parameters

Electronics Forum | Fri Sep 22 12:11:31 EDT 2023 | wippsen

Hi there, if there is insufficient Volume you may optimize the design of your stencil. Its not the goal to decrease the tolerances. Take the PCB and take a look at the printing Shapes with microscope or use the zoom in 3D Function. If there is too l

Non-wetting on 0402 chips capacitors

Electronics Forum | Wed May 09 15:15:52 EDT 2001 | caldon

Your process needs some refining. How long did it take to wet? How much force did it take to break the surface tension? What type of solder was in the solder pot? What type of flux was used? What was the pot temperature? Did you take a cap and p

Re: Solder Reflow Problem

Sounds like you have a component problem! I say this because you say the sodler is flowing away from the components (leads I assume) This sounds like none wetting of the component. Do a solderability test on the parts. Take the parts and dip the lead

Re: Why is The Forum so slow now?

Electronics Forum | Tue Mar 17 08:14:21 EST 1998 | Stefan Witte

| Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but it seems to me that The Forum takes a lot longer to open up now. It also takes a lot longer to get back to the main Forum page, after reading an individual message, and hitting the "BACK" button. What's up? Is

How to run SMT production with low defects

Electronics Forum | Thu Aug 15 13:36:44 EDT 2002 | kenbliss

I would take the following method to start Which defect is taking the most labor time to fix. which defect is causing a bottleneck to your production. Fix the one causing the bottleneck first as it will improve your plant output and profits Then

Use of solder paste after taking out from cold storage

Electronics Forum | Wed Oct 26 23:29:57 EDT 2005 | milroyperera

Hi, As I have seen in the data sheets from solder paste suppliers they always recommend to keep the solder paste until it reaches the ambient temperature after taking out from normal storage temperature. Mostly the storage temperature is 5 - 10 Cels

Dewetting on Second side reflow?????

Electronics Forum | Tue Oct 31 08:08:15 EST 2006 | bobsavenger

I'm just looking for some fire-power here. We have a board that when it goes through reflow the first time, everything is fine and has good wetting. When we do the secondary side, one specific part is then Dewetting according to our production oper

Solder wave shutdown

Electronics Forum | Wed May 23 08:50:29 EDT 2007 | stepheniii

We have a timer on our selective solder so it's molten when we come in. The heat it takes to remelt the solder is equal to the heat lost as it solidifies therefore don't worry that it takes more energy per minute to melt the solder than to keep it mo
