I have always gone with blade length equal to board width plus 2 inches - 1 inch either side. Is there any technical reason that I could not use a longer blade, say 2.5 inches on either side?

You are technically correct eutectic Sn/Pb was discovered by the ancient Egyptians in (XXX) BC much longer then 20 centuries. I was just referring to soft soldering in the electronics assembly industry :-).

We do parylene coating and really frown upon using a UV additive. Technically, it's a contaminant to the parylene.

I did not desire the manuals to learn how to operate the machines, rather I wanted to know technical data such as the proper PSI for the air supply lines.
