Hi, I am facing high fall out of microphone low sensitivity issues. This microphone is soldering thru SMT soldering with low peak temperature profile which peak at 232 DegC to 240 DegC and have skipped X-Ray inspection but still seeing fall out espec

Check the microphone data sheet to find out what the max temperature is...if it's not listed, call the manufacturer. Are you water-washing the board after assembly? Could be water intrusion/entrapment in the microphone. Again, check the data she

I think temperature is the most under appreciated parameter. I'm not saying that it is the most important parameter, Just that a lot people do not give it the consideration it needs. I don't think it mattered as much in the old days of saponifiers an

There may also be a problem with the a thermoprofile. Measure the temperature of both contacts of the component, if they heat up not evenly and the soldered lead heats up faster, then the problem is in the profile. To solve the problem of misalignmen

I just learned of this and can only find a very small amount of information, and only from one source. I'd like to understand more. Also, they only seem to talk about low temperature PCB like flex. Does it work on FR4?

Couple notes here: 1. Try to shoot for 250C peak temperature. 2. Use all your 10 zones in profiling for more accurate profile. You should not reach your highest temp in zone8. Try to reach it in zone 10. 3. Go quicker. Your profile might be too long

Thank you for sharing the helpful information. Let's say the PCB is a double-side assemble process and this PCB has completed the first reflowing SMT assembly process, is there any concern if the board is kept on the production floor with temperatur

So you run one side, and leave the boards sit in temperature controlled environment for 3 days before running the other side? Are they ENIG coated? If so, they are probably ok. You could always keep the boards in your hot room. I assume this is du
