Hi Daan, What we did in the time was pareto analyses on all board designs to determine the critical areas (mainly design errors) and only inspect those specific problem areas. Every batch had a copy of the PC board with problem areas marked and only

All good points and thank you for your replies. Most of the components lost are discretes. The problem I have is my operators gather any SOIC "lost components" and return them to stores in a small metallised bag. This in turn goes into a 16" X 12" X

Hi James, As my companys process/manufacturing engineer, I set up a program that dramaticly reduced machine down time. Some base numbers; we went from an average of 4-6 hrs set up on our Mydata to setups of under 15 minutes on average and some belo

We have a couple sites (out of over 150 lines) that use them. The site that picked them stands by them through thick and thin. Any time they have problems they blame it on the paste, even though paste from the same lot will be running great next do

We've all been soldering Pb free parts for a couple decades. All your surface mount capacitors have probably had a Sn finish for years. Whenever one of our parts with a SnPb finish converts for Pb free we have the manufacturing site do a small buil
