CONTROL OF FLUX DEPOSITION

Electronics Forum | Fri Jun 22 14:16:28 EDT 2007 | patrickbruneel

I agree with the down to earth, low tech but very effective peace of card board and is far better then trying to measure Mg/Inch sq with a volatile media. The only addition I would like to make to Real Chunks advice is: Dry spots on the cardboard

Daniel, What exactely are you trying to accomplish with this? Do you have a particular communications issue that requires this as a diagnostics tool? If so, there are lots of previous threads on this subject. Have you already referenced the IPC spec

Minimum lead pitch to avoid bridging

Electronics Forum | Fri Jul 06 11:00:50 EDT 2007 | shrek

Krikies my friend. A good wave ogre will be able to look at a wave and tweak in a way to minimize contact length (by slowing the conveyor speed), thus improving peelback, and lower it to the bare minimum without disrupting it's backward and forward

A concern about conformal coating height

Electronics Forum | Fri Jul 06 10:08:21 EDT 2007 | blnorman

The coating thickness is more a property of the individual coating itself. The 0.03 - 0.13 is based on average properties of acrylics in general. It's like trying to pour 3 mils of motor oil on a table. The material will find it's own thickness.

Hope you found an adhesive that works for you Dback. Thought I felt sharp pain in my back for awhile as did not follow up on this string. Then again, a response may prolong the pain, oh well figured a need for accurate information. FYI for RealHuss

Universal Instruments Radial Inserter

Electronics Forum | Fri Aug 03 12:11:56 EDT 2007 | gmoritz

Any experience with the encoders and ball screws that drive the stage? We are seeing a pretty large y-drift from the 'top' to the 'bottom' of the board during x-travel. I've tried to measure this using the teach function and the x-drift from the sm

Adhesive printing with double side board

Electronics Forum | Tue Jul 24 08:41:16 EDT 2007 | babe7362000

Does anyone out there run the adhesive side first and then the solder side and wash? I was just wondering if this is a good practice or not. I am afraid that we will lose some of the parts, that are just glued on, in the washer? Basically I am try

Who's heard about

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 01 12:16:58 EDT 2007 | realchunks

So how do you think they plate the vias to the components? This was where the cost came in when trying this. Now how do you keep multi-layers together without putting undo pressure on you components? Thru-hole components still would require solder
