Has anyone any experience with using the latest version of this software? If so I am interested in hearing how you use it to reflect the different metrics for quality reports.

I use CAM350 and I really like it. Nice software and fairly easy to use. Pretty nice for extracting XY Data too when your customers are just too stubborn to send you any.

Try using Chip Quik to reduce the heat required for component removal. Along with your bottom pre-heater, use a temperature controlled hot air system to help heat up top side for component installation. http://www.pcb-repair.com/products.htm

We are using 6 mil screens, and these boards have 0603,SOT23 and SOD523. Seems like we could use *more* paste, not less on a lot of these components, so does it make sense to get a thinner screen? Wouldn't this mean we'd get less paste?

When using the rectangular plate given with the machine that is used with calibrating the movable camera, does the longer side of the plate get fed into the machine ( rails set to 80mm ) or the shorter side ( rails set to 74mm ) Thanks Dave

It sounds to me like your using only the Global fiducial mode. If your running multiple images on one panel use image fiducials instead

We just got a wave solder machine and we are using Sn100. I am new to the wave process. I see a product called "Super Deox Dross Reducer". Is this something we should be using? Is there a downside? Better alternatives? Thanks!

I too would go with something like the Grid-lock. We use Red-E-sets from production solutions. They are similar to the grid-locks but don't use air.
