Problems with frameless stencils on MPM??

Electronics Forum | Thu Jul 14 12:11:58 EDT 2005 | geb

The vacuum will pull the stencil towards it if there isn't a frame because the front and back of the stencil aren't being supported by anything. Can't you use a frame, they're only about 20.

would like any input on MPM problems

Very fishy missing solder paste issue

Electronics Forum | Thu Jul 21 11:13:11 EDT 2005 | Scott B

Have you tried running the machine in stepper mode (Ctrl+S). This will allow you to hold and view the machine at each stage of the placement cycle. This may help determine if it is false placement, vacuum or kiss-off. We find this useful when trying

We had a similar problem and needed to slow the cam speed. The surface of our component was rough so I suspect we did not get a good seal for the vacuum and the component was drifting on the nozzle after the camera. Jerry

Tooling for printers

Hi everyone, I am trying to evaluate the cost of buying new equipment. One of the concerns is blade holders, stencil frames and board vacuum tooling. How difficult is to change from Dek to MPM or viceversa without changing all our tooling.

You are correct, the Hover Davis label feeder works on 'un-punched' flat carrier. Get a sample of your dots on the tape and send it to Hover Davis to see if their feeder will work for you. The Hover Davis feeder will peel the dot off of the tape so

CP4 Production

I once had a CP-4 that was not cutting the paper from the reel, and the paper was nocking off the parts. You could also check the vacuum at pick-up and placement stations. What kind of parts are they? It might be a good idea to calibrate the stati

Do yo have to bake unused bare boards or just Vacuum Pack?

Electronics Forum | Fri Aug 25 07:42:29 EDT 2006 | davef

Our sympathies about the ENIG boards. B:) So, you cut the end off the barrier bag, take 200 boards, heat seal the end of the bag and restock it, build the 200 boards and ship them, right?
