Remove,Re-ball then Re-use BGA safely !!!

Tell them that you use the "Abreviated Bake Method". Seriously, how do know if you've ruined the BGA {or someother component] or not? How do KNOW it worked fine?

Does anyone know the name of a smalll handheld device that cleans stencils? One looks like a palm sander and it vibrates the paste out of apertures. Thanks, Johnny Smith

You're correct. It's a GREAT deal, especially when you match it up against those rip-off machines that cost $25k++. Maybe products like this will get those very nice suppliers' attention and force them to price products reasonably.

Thanks for the reply,Yes the data should show the yield difference from Paste printing process to wave solder process.I mean if we have Low yield that means more rework in that Case-Thanks & looking forward to get more information Surinder

over-shelf-life PCB

Electronics Forum | Wed Jun 19 21:29:00 EDT 2002 | redmary

we have a big inventory of over-shelf-life PCB, most of them are stored over 2 years. Could we ensure all these over 2 years PCB will not cause significant quality issue after assembly? and where could I find the related specification?

Either you need a stronger flux or the solderable surfaces need to be reconditioned. Most board fabricators don't do reconditioning. Search the fine SMTnet Archives for discussion on ROSA. EMPF is one place that does ROSA on a contract basis.
