Morning all, my question is regarding the use of filled/tented/plugged vias on the BGA site. What are you guys doing for this? What type of issues can this cause if using none, or the improper via design. Regards, JD

I ran into this yesterday. Seems some designer decided to not solder resist the via's on the solder side. Then the assembly went over the wave solder in a universal fixture. Not an ideal situation.

Hi Bob we have more than 130 stencil we , also use racks than old 25 stencil the printer program has the same value than the stencil. for example see dek.com for racks.

Don't switch to other vendors or suppliers. Stick with Cam/Alot. It's reliable and repeatable and besides you know the system well now. If you get a different brand you have to start again with the sickness of the equipment, learn it again and build

for conformal coat we are having issues with the camalot P.C.'s, the software is not supported past the windows 98 platform, we are looking at asymtek now, there is also an up and comer called USI....

I have experience with both Xyflex and Asymtek. I think the M2000 is much easier to maintain. About 30 minutes once a week to clean the valve. The dots are more consistant, also.

Vitronics Unitherm 500 and Leadfree

Has anyone out there done any lead free testing using a Vitronics Unitherm 500 oven? based on the specs I have dug up on the machine I suspect it should work fine but it would be great to hear from someone that has done it. Thanks in advance.
