With most folks using closed loop DI beds on their cleaners, water soluble masks have fallen out of favor. Tends to gum up the works.

Probably the three biggest players for screenable, water soluble temporary soldermasks are Techspray, Chemtronics and Kester/Techform. What do they say?

Thanks Dave. I did find one PWB fab that does offer it pre-applied to the boards, Saturn PCB. I'm told the formula is proprietary but is WS. Not sure if its CL friendly though.

Our supplier told me that TechSpray does no longer manufacture their water soluble mask. I dont know is that truth or not...

Questions are: * What are the soldermasks used by your three board suppliers? * What tests have you run to assess the compatibility between these three soldermasks and your flux?

What flux are you using? We use a low-solids No-Clean water-based flux. Maybe some of what you are seeing is not residue from the flux but is from reaction with the solder mask.

I am curious if anyone uses the Novatec vacunest support system with their Screener system. If so any opinions on how well it works would be appreciated. Also any thoughts on the Gridlock system would also be appreciated. Thanks

Just wondering how other companies are coming along with complying with the new EU REACH legislation? I am having trouble getting information from suppliers! Any input from others?

We have talked to Fluid Research in Tustin about contract work. They manufacture the equipment as well, so if you like what they do and want to move the process inhouse, they can help there too. You can find them online

Hello all, I'd really like some input on devising a competitive cost formula for a new CM business in eastern Canada. If anyone has any experience or suggestions with this I would appreciate your comments. Thanks, Dion
