BGA Rework. Pls suggest whether we can place BGA without Balls on PCB after Printing. i.e without reballing if we mount BGA on PCB after Screen printing

Davef, We have BGA (removed from PCBA). We have Cleaned up the pads. Instead of reballing can we directly mount on the Prime PCB like QFN. Thanks Martin

Is there any sticky residue on the top of the part? Or maybe it has something to due with magnatism and maybe you could source a plastic nozzle instead of using the standard machine nozzles. Good Luck

We have the same problems. We are using Universal equipment. In our case as I suspect in yours its a residue on the LED's not the machine.

Other than low cost Im not sure there is any. All the major ballast manufacturers seem to use asphalt. It costs about $500 per ton.

I would switch to Teka PC104 solder bearing lead connectors. You can reflow them along with your SMT and eliminate hand soldering. I've had a lot of experience with them and they work great. http://www.tekais.com/pc104.asp Steve

Add that to boards with solid solder deposit (ssd) pads and you have a perfect assembly. Teka components work great mk

Ask Speedline sales representative. They are still selling the upgrade kit for 486 processor. Procedure for retrofitting is included in the package. The price is roughly USD2K.
