I dont know where you got your feeders at. I have worked on alot of quad feeders and i have never had one that wasnt repeatable enough for 0805 or 1206 parts.

I have disassembled and cleaned the most of the feeders indeed. This gave me some improvement on some units. Thanks for the data, sir.

I'd like some recommendations on the type / size of quad fiducials to use. I started with a small + on the silkscreen layer, but i think that a via is better, and have been using it. Now i'm considering a round smd pad, but not sure the size. Any

Hi robgd3, your DI system installer is right in his recommendation for a tankless/on-demand system. You know what? We are in the same situation six months ago and all my concerns were met when I installed this tankless water heater.

We have a board with a 1.0mm pitch BGA. The stencil apertures are 0.0177 inch diameter. We used an electroform stencil with good results.

What foil thickness? Type 3 or 4 paste? Have you checked your area ratio(s)? You could overprint or drop your foil thickness by one mil to improve the ratio and paste transfer. As always you can search the fine SMTnet archives for more info.

What type of flux material does your solder paste have? I have seen difficulties when attempting to print small apertures with water washable and rosin types. Do you get a good first print and then have problems or is it the same from the start?
