I'm still buying my solder printer cleaning rolls from my manufacturer. Does anyone know of any after market brand that is as good in quality and atleast half the price. I am paying $80.00 a roll. Gary

That's ridiculous. I honestly can't remember where we used to get ours (my days with an inline printer are just a memory), but it might have been JnJ. Try jnj-industries.com.

We have enough history to know that frequent profiles are a waste of time. We check the profile once a month, after any significant maintenance, and after a changeover. Other than that we rely on the alarms on the individual zones.

The correct Frequency to verify your reflow profile is about one week except when you replaced the part, equipment, the channel setting of the oven or running pilot lots. The period of the Themal board is around 50 times.

We verify ours once a month using our calibration board. You can use any board once your profile is set for a specific product. All you are doing is checking the performance and repeatability of the oven.

I worked with our stencil vendor for a about a year tweaking our aperture guidlines for our printer. Of course we upgraded to a better printer and all of that went out the door. Work with your vendor and they should be able to make suggestion as to w
