arent there environmentally friendly solvents (i have seen some from 3M) that can be used in a vapor degreaser. i was also planning to use the vapor degreaser to clean boards prior to conformal coating

You would probably have better luck posting your request with the Wire Harness Manufacturers Association at this link: http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/whma/

Just checked Tyco's online distributor system, & there's none over this side of the pond either, and the leadtime is being quoted as 101 days.

That's weird. I send samples to be analyze for free to AIM...A few years ago, we used Kester solder bars and they did the analysis for free as well... Thanks, George

AlphaMetals also performs this for free if you are a customer. I would ask your supplier how they feel about you using another product so you can take care of this. That usually gets the cost waived. There is not a lot of qualification required

Is anybody out there using Sn99.3Cu0.7 for wave soldering? How does it look. (Cost is about the same as eutectic 63/37).
