Anyone of you tested your boards in high power reliability test? I am just wondering whether there is any test procedure / standard for a board undergo high power (current / voltage) testing, and also which solder alloy you have tested with good comm

General soldering question not related to SMT. Is it OK to solder a wire to a brass terminal? It seems OK but I'm unsure about the long term reliability. Application is a high reliability electronic utility meter. Thanks Steve

You may call a few used machine people. They may have them or know of a company that is going under and looking to get rid of them. Also try E-Bay.

Are there long lags between print and place, and place and reflow? Could your paste be losing some of it's tack?

Easy fix is put a drop of washable mask on the side of part before reflow. The mask dries before the solder reflows and holds the part in place. After reflow it washes away.
