I am working on a vcd 8 with a problem of loosing the 5 volts supply. We have fitted a new supply that also provides the 15 volts. When we remove the connector on the power chassis for the 5 volts the power supply shows OK. When fitted the 5 volts is

Found the problem. Thanks for the pointers. I had set the voltage to 5.00 volts as it was reading 4.86 volts. I still had the problem. A slghtly burnt wire going into the spade connector on the back of fuse holder 12 (5 volts). The reason the voltage

Something on the 5v side is pulling it down. I would check every thing associated with the harness you are disconnecting. Your shorting somewhere! Don't have a schematic in front of me. Also look for leads getting into the backside of your connecto

Resistor Help Needed

Three LEDs, 3.5volts @.02amps each is 10.5volts. You said you calculated out an 82 ohm resistor so 82 ohms * .02amps is 1.64volts, I guess your going to use a 12volt supply. P=I*E =.02amps * 1.64volts =.033watts so a .25watt resistor will be fine

How high a voltage are we talking , 240 volts, 4000 volts , 26000, volts 60,000 volts, 240 volts is easily done as we go up the scale insulation becomes a bigger problem and winding machines have to be much better in control of tension, also at higher

What would happen if a 2 volt solar cell was hooked through a diode into to a 3.6 volt nicad (3xAA)? would it charge it at all? just a bit but never fully? would battery deliver 3.6 volt after charging? If left long enough would it charge fully?

1) I had downloaded ANSI/ESD-S20.20-1999 from www.eosesd.org web site. I am not clear whether section 6.2.3.2 is correct. It states that " All process essential insulators that have electrostatic fields that exceed 2000 volts should be kept at a mi
