Mixing No-clean and water soluble processes

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 23 16:45:36 EST 2010 | dyoungquist

Davef is right on as usual. We are doing exactly what you do. Some smt with no clean paste then the plate through connectors on our selective solder machine using water soluble flux. We then clean with a ultrasonic water process. We do see the re

Mixing No-clean and water soluble processes

Electronics Forum | Tue Feb 23 12:56:03 EST 2010 | vleasher

Is there any harm in washing SMT soldered with NoClean paste? The PCA has some large thru-hole connectors that we would prefer to do as water soluble on out selective solder but the SMT consists of LGA's and other low parts that we would not be able

Mixing No-clean and water soluble processes

Sorry, but I don't know this brand. Anyway pay attention, because if the chemistry is resin based, is difficult to clean and the residuals may be hygroscopic. So, I only can suggest you to read the data sheet and follow the instructions by the solder

SMT Solder paste and wave flux evaluation

Electronics Forum | Fri Jan 28 01:56:32 EST 2005 | Chua

Hi, I could like to find out what are the things need to look out if I'm doing a new SMT solder paste ( water soluble & no-clean ) evaluation. And also flux ( spray type ) for wave-solder ( water soluble & no-clean ). Appreciate for all the input..

Evalution on solder paste and spray flux

Electronics Forum | Thu Jan 27 11:23:45 EST 2005 | russ

Well first off I wouldn't evaluate paste for a wave process. I would use solder bar instead. Flux - top side fillets and no shorting on the solder side, does it clean well after processing if using water soluble flux. How wide is the process win

Common cleaning agent for Water soluble, No-Clean and RMA paste

Electronics Forum | Tue Oct 09 11:22:08 EDT 2001 | nifhail

Can I use one common cleaning agent to clean the stencils from a lines which are using RMA, No-clean and clean paste ( b'cos we onlyhv one stencil cleaner ). What about those misprinted board ? Can all of them use the same chemical or cleaned in the

Common cleaning agent for Water soluble, No-Clean and RMA paste

Electronics Forum | Tue Oct 09 12:23:07 EDT 2001 | Mike Konrad

Hi Danial, Yes, you can use one cleaning chemistry for all paste types. There are many available chemistries from many manufacturers. The chemistries that I would recommend include: StencilWash Plus from Aqueous Technologies http://www.aqueouste

assembly serialization and traceability

Electronics Forum | Wed May 22 16:36:13 EDT 2002 | slthomas

What methods do you guys use for maintaining lot and/or board traceability? When I worked in med. products, we used travelers that we recorded everything on, then serialized them at the end of the build. Not as effective as up front serialization,

RTS (Ramp-to-Spike) and RSS (Ramp-soak-spike)

Electronics Forum | Tue Nov 02 05:00:28 EST 2004 | jysam

we are using solder paste WS609 and OM5100.Relow oven: forced convection type. For WS609 and OM5100, straight ramp up profile is suitable for low to medium thermal mass assemblies and preheating may be required for high thermal mass assemblies. How

CCGA - Stencil design and Reflow Profiling

Electronics Forum | Wed Aug 21 13:28:20 EDT 2019 | ameenullakhan

And what is the solder paste selection recommendation for the same. 1. Water soluble ( organic based flux solder based ) 2. No clean ( rosin or resin based solder paste ) customer is suggesting water soluble chemistry , which is having lot hot an
