Samir, thanks for the reply. We are wondering if this idea came dowm from a customer a long time back, or maybe from Mil Std 2000. I've never worked with Mil Std 2000, so I don't know about that. We can not find anything in Jstd or 610 about it.

Please note that pin holes and blow holes are not always defects. The latest IPC 610A Rev D workmanship standard has them as process indicators- depending on Class. I don't have the document handly while writing this. It would be good to look that up

Hi PeteB... I dont think you will find any Specs...but that I do not know. What I do know is it depends on the make up of your PCB and Components. Obvious haveing components that may be sensitive to heat the less you want to run or pass through. Re
