Just wanted to ask what is the correct test method i need to do to ensure that my cleaning solvent is still OK to use. This is in particular for stencil cleaning,carriers, pcb etc. I am using a jet cleaner with recirculating solvents.

I'm not too experienced with this but what about an air-blast with an ionized air source such as an air knife above and below a conveyor to push most of the fluid off of the pcba then run through an oven just above vaporization temperature.

Do you have some pictures of the condition that you are facing? Your description of the issue sounds more like dewetting, rather than cold solder. A picture would help us better understand what you're facing. Cheers, ..rob

Thanks. we've got this problem solved. In fact we wrote our own scripts to convert our PNP data into Yamaha VIOS files direclty.. Its exactly what we want for our setup..
