Granite Surface and ESD

Electronics Forum | Fri Apr 01 04:51:53 EST 2005 | dougs

I think what Russ is getting at is that the granite table is used for it's flat surface to aid in measurement, the flat surface helps to measure heights very accuratly. If you add another surface on top of that then you lose what the granite surface

bone growth stimulation system and ESD

Electronics Forum | Tue Oct 24 20:15:37 EDT 2006 | davef

Use a field meter to quantify the effect of having this bone growth stimulation equipment near ESD sensitive devices.

J-STD-001 Par 4.2.2 Temperature and Humidity

Electronics Forum | Tue Jul 17 21:48:09 EDT 2007 | davef

Per ESD Handbook TR 20.20 paragraph 5.3.15 Humidity "Humidity is beneficial in all ESD Control Program Plans. Contact and separation of dry materials generates greater electrostatic charges than moist materials because moisture provides conductivity

J-STD-001 Par 4.2.2 Temperature and Humidity

Electronics Forum | Mon Jul 16 15:44:27 EDT 2007 | davef

J-STD-001 doesn't necessarily require additional controls under conditions of low humidity, only that you verify the effectiveness of what you have in place. ESD S20.20 [1999] only says that relative humidity above 30% is "desirable". ESD S20.20 [200

No-Clean flux residue and RF application

Electronics Forum | Tue Aug 30 15:05:23 EDT 2005 | Shean Dalton

Dear Ing, Have you analyzed why some RF device aren't operational after washing? An assumption is that failures are related to the ultrasonic energy applied. Other possibilities are for poor rinsing, poor drying, inadequate washing on those failed

Re: Humidity Control and Moisture Sensitivity

Electronics Forum | Tue Dec 05 15:10:55 EST 2000 | Francois Monette

Victor, here are a few more elements of information to answer your question. Both the temperature and relative humidity on the manufacturing floor have a significant impact relative to the rate of diffusion of moisture inside a plastic package and t

Re: Standard pad sizes for reflow and wave

Electronics Forum | Tue Sep 07 09:11:33 EDT 1999 | Dave F

| We've noticed that there are many different recommendations for pad sizes for various SMT parts. This seems to vary wildly from manufacturer to manufacturer for the same case sizes. Is there any standards that can used used to specify these sizes

Possibility of a cheaper pick and place machine design?

Electronics Forum | Thu Sep 11 10:01:30 EDT 2014 | spoiltforchoice

1 - Too messy, parts already come in nice easy to use machine compatible packaging, tapes, reels, tubes and trays. All you are doing is adding an extra step and complication. A key production aim is to reduce the number of steps. 2 - BGA - a chip wi
