We had this problem not long ago and changed to the remountable foils. They are as good as the orignals but they cost less and are practical to store. All our stencils come from DEK and they have a nice little (overpriced) cupboard, if you're working

That hand held cleaner is 10K+. I have used one before. It works OK on paste, but doesn't do a thing for epoxy. 10 grand buys a lot of wipes and elbow grease.

Increasing the metals loading may help. But may cause issues elsewhere. Unsure of your exact process....but may work. Is anyone dispensing solder paste onto BGA pads...how is voiding in comparison???

I never met such a issue.I use SRT1100&Freedom2000,and they works well with BGA larger than 3.5x3.5cm.

Vijay: If you are still having difficulty or are frustrated with your yields try http://www.solder.net. They work on the most difficult packages and boards.

Isn't this what they call "supply and demand" law? mucho demand + low supply = higher price? I never could understand it, but since nobody questions why the systems works this way, what is there to do?

Try out the component print stations apply solder to the BGA instead of the board, works perfect! Let me know if you need more info! Marco

The solder bead IS the thermocouple. A thermocouple is two different metal welded together. The junction generates voltage. You can use tape, glue, paper clip, whatever works on your particular situation. Just make sure the thermocouple does not move

Hi, Thanks for the info. How clean can wave soldering get? We are looking at a carrier that masks off most of the board when we run it through the wave, so hopefully this works. Regards, Grant Blackmagic Design
