I would check/replace the neighbour zones. If your temp isd higher than what you set is probably the cooling zone not working normal(fan replacement or cleaning). The problem might be caused by zone 11 too.

I've seen 1-mil Kapton tape. Would that work, or would it be too thick? I've never tried it... How thick is the average solder mask?

We are currently having an issue with one of our Jot Conveyors. The speed knob is on all the way (high setting), and the conveyor moves too slow and does not pass the sensor in time. Is there anything I can adjust to make the speed faster? Thanks

Hello, try loosing up the belt. If they are too tight it can cause the conveyor to run slowly or even to damage the motor.

Don't have a CP7 but I think it has the same loader as a CP643. There are about 15 different sensors that have to be made for the loader and carriers to work properly. Are you doing dual board load ?

I worked for a company where the machines were put on high durometer vibration dampeners. Ok ok, the machines were put on hockey pucks.

We had to use a bin and dip bottom of board in it once when we we're waiting for a replacement part. Worked ok for what it was anyway.

I have seen it done exactly the way you do it and I think spraying will be better than dipping. However the best way is still to have your fluxer fixed and working.
