Sarag, FYI tombstoning is a functional failure. Tombstoning is where one end of the component is not soldered and is in the air above the board/solderjoint surface. You may be thinking of billboarding (part on its side with both ends soldered down)

We've tried many of the different brands and we like the FCT SN100. The nickle really makes it spread out and wet nicely. You add a few degrees to reflow it but we think the results have been worth it. mk

We are starting to use high count BGAs (512). Is there an industry standard on how to inspect the BGAs. Should all BGAs be inspected with Xray equipment or is there other solutions? Thank you

Hi all, What kind of flux and solder is suitable for a EPK Gold wave soldering machine. Again, good results and best prices needed. Thank you all.

There are no bargans in soldering. Talk to a reputable supplier. Based on your product, you need to decide: * Type of flux * Solder alloy

we do it all the time. We havent had any problems with the BGA's. But, you dont want BGA right beneath another BGA.
