Bosch Decides for AXI from Viscom

Apr 07, 2016

Robert Bosch GmbH and Viscom AG continue their partnership in the automated X-ray inspection (AXI) area. Bosch's decision came after an intensive evaluation, during which Viscom impressed with the X7056 AXI.

Viscom’s X7056 AXI is the focus of this agreement, and Bosch verifies the Viscom’s technical competence in this area: "We trust the quality and inspection performance of the X7056, and with our selection of this product after an intensive competition, we underscore our ongoing cooperation with Viscom," stated Andreas Schmid, central buyer at Robert Bosch GmbH.

Volker Pape, executive board member at Viscom AG, welcomes the further cooperation with Bosch: "We are happy that our customer acknowledges our continual readiness to fulfill increasing demands."

In addition to its very high inspection depth with superb image quality, the Viscom X7056 is distinguished by its great versatility in the 3D, 2.5D and 2D X-ray areas. Optional AOI integration with no loss of speed also can be realized. The inspection of electronics assemblies populated on one or both sides is yet another system strength.

Of course, this success also is made possible by the long-standing teamwork among the developers and application specialists at Viscom, who have developed the X7056 system into a successful, modern and in every respect, cutting-edge inspection solution. With the new flat panel detector (FPD), defect detection and image quality are best-in-class, even at high throughputs.

Viscom AG develops, manufactures and sells high-quality inspection systems. The portfolio encompasses the complete bandwidth of optical and X-ray inspections. In the area of assembly inspection for electronics manufacturing, the company is among the leading suppliers worldwide. Viscom systems can be configured specific to the customer and can be interlinked. The company headquarters and manufacturing location is in Hanover, Germany. With a wide network of branches, applications centers, service support points and representatives, Viscom is represented internationally.
