Electronics assembly process engineers face numerous challenges with the drive toward miniaturization, lead-free, and reliability. When the cleaning process fails to operate per design standards, it can lead to production inefficiencies. The topic of this presentation focuses on process issues centered on equipment and cleaning effects. Common cleaning equipment issues include foaming in the wash and rinse, containment, control of wash chemistry, and ventilation. White residue issues are features of the soil, wash chemistry, wash time, wash temperature, mechanical delivery of the wash chemistry and up-stream processing conditions. The Webinar will discuss each of these cleaning problems, identify root causes, and provide options for resolution.
