John Stimadorakis, President of AMT Corp., announced today that the company has released its new Design to Manufacture Collaborative Support Program (D2M-csp) whichincorporates the companies printed circuit board layout design capabilities.

Mr. Stimadorakis explained: "Changing business models coupled with the explosionof demand-side, supply chain issues, and the ever increasing complexity of fabrication andassembly technologies can generate gaps in the design to manufacturing process. Today, for a company to be successful it must be adaptive. To be adaptive a company must have real-time or near-real-time collaborative processes. A gap in the process can seriously impede the Time to Value demanded by stakeholders today.

The integrated D2M Collaborative Support Program was developed to bridge these gaps and help our clients reduce the D2M cycle time and cost by as much as 40% and 20%, respectively.

The program blends years of design experience, component packaging, PCB fabrication, assembly, test and inspection knowledge into a collaborative process that yields the highest quality results.

Mr. Stimadorakis described the program as providing integrated technical assistance from circuit concept to manufacturing. Working as part of the design team, the program provides critical input and services at each stage of the design to manufacturing process. Participation in process (design) reviews and guidance in DFM, DFT, DFI, DFSCF, DFPLM, and DFRB for both the PCB fabrication and assembly processes is provided. Supply chain and manufacturing component package/packaging issues are researched and documented. The support team generates the necessary CAD library items, PCB layouts, CAD files, manufacturing process design and documentation. AMT works with the design team on vendor selection/certification and provides NPI and training support. Guidance and/or assistance in integrating the new product into, or establishing, a Manufacturing Process Management (MPM) system, is part of the program.

Over the years, AMT has worked with manufacturers, suppliers and vendors to develop tools and processes needed to bridge the information and technology gaps in the design to manufacturing (D2M) processes. In recent years, the majority of our projects have been developing collaborative processes to increase productivity and profitability. Because of the emergence and convergence of new technologies, the industry now has the tools needed to make unprecedented advances in enterprise productivity.

With the new horizons appearing in the industry, AMT is now appropriately positioned to assist our clients to successfully deal with the new realities of the D2M process.
