In Chemitalic�s annual accounts for 2001/02, the Denmark-based PCB maker indicated that it expected 2002/03 turnover equal to that earned in 2001/02 (2001/02: DKK 133.1 million) and a result after tax of approximately DKK +/-5 million (2001/02: DKK �13.8 million). The same expectation was expressed in Chemitalic�s report for the first quarter of the financial year 2002/03.
During the first six months, the company�s business has been affected by �the declining market and the consequently low activity within the electronics sector,� the company stated in its report for its second quarter of financial year 2002/03. However, a slight increase in order intake has also occurred, the company added.
Therefore, turnover a little lower than that of 2001/02 is projected for the whole financial year, with a result after tax of between DKK �5 million and �10 million.
Chemitalic said that the expectations are subject to a degree of uncertainty �higher than usual due to the unstable market conditions and the prospects within telecommunications in particular.�
The report for the third quarter of Chemitalic�s financial year 2002/03 is expected to be published on April 30, the company said.
