The FSW620-EF is a traditional mini-wave soldering system capable of supporting board sizes up to 20" x 20" depending on nozzle configuration.

Juki Corporation, a world-leading provider of automated assembly products and systems, announces that it has been awarded a 2011 NPI Award in the category of Soldering – Selective for its FlexSolderWave FSW620-EF. The award was presented to the company during a Tuesday, April 12, 2011 ceremony that took place at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Convention Center in Las Vegas during IPC APEX 2011.

The FSW620-EF is a traditional mini-wave soldering system capable of supporting board sizes up to 20" x 20" depending on nozzle configuration. The FSW620-EF is the only machine in its class to offer three autonomous acting soldering nozzles, allowing the use of three different sizes and/or types of nozzles without changeover.

Juki Automation Systems President and CEO, Bob Black, commented, "Once again Juki, together with our partners at Inertec, have brought true innovation to the selective solder market. While several companies have just introduced dual nozzles in their machines, a feature Juki pioneered five years ago, we now have three available, allowing one-pass soldering of even the most dense and difficult boards. Congratulations to Todd O'Neil and our whole selective solder team for this award."

Additionally, the mini-wave selective solder pot can be removed and easily replaced with a larger pot with an 18" full turbulent wave in order to run boards specifically designed for traditional wave soldering machines, giving the customer a "real" opportunity to eliminate their wave machine.

The FSW520-EF has been designed to support a wide variety of nozzles. It can support wetted nozzles down to 1.8mm, traditional mini-wave nozzles up to 30mm, and even a special miniature wide wave that is 43mm wide. The FSW620-EF also offers both 0° soldering and 7° soldering to accommodate these various types of nozzles.

Premiering in 2008, the NPI Awards program is an annual celebration of product excellence in electronics surface mount assembly. Premier products based on the finest examples of creative advancement in technology are chosen by a distinguished panel of industry experts.

Juki Corporation's experience as the market leader in industrial sewing machines was the stepping-stone for the entry into the printed circuit board assembly market in 1987. Since then, Juki has delivered more than 22,000 automated assembly systems worldwide and is currently shipping an average of 200 assembly machines per month. This extraordinary achievement makes Juki one of the world’s leading providers of automated assembly products and systems. In addition to its core technologies, Juki's Electronic Assembly and Test Systems Division develops and manufactures advanced electronic systems and computer software for data entry, mail processing and other electronic equipment.

With the purchase of Zevatech's assets in November 1999, Juki Automation Systems now brings Juki’s reputation for top quality and reliable service also to the North and South American and the European electronics assembly markets.
