The eMPower solutions will enable Sola Basic to increase its market share by bringing products to market more quickly and efficiently, while reducing operating costs. The use of eMPower for Electronics solutions for process planning and production execution is expected to help strengthen Sola Basics market leadership, especially in light of the Mexican governments recent decision to allow the import of electronics products from China.
By streamlining and improving our plant design and production processes, Tecnomatix eMPower solutions will enable us to be more competitive in our constantly changing marketplace, said Emilio Catan, vice president of operations, ISB Industrias Sola Basic. After evaluating eMPower Box Build for process planning and eMPower Execution Systems for production execution, and obtaining significant benefits through their use in our new 2000-square-meter plant, we look forward to duplicating the benefits of this eMPower implementation across our other plants. These benefits include the ability to produce more cost-competitive products, to speed time-to-market and to respond more quickly to market changes.
ISB Industrias Sola Basic initially plans to use eMPower for Electronics solutions in its newest manufacturing plant, the companys 8th plant in Mexico, to design production processes and line layouts for the plants first assembly line which manufactures outdoor lighting systems. Sola Basic will use the eMPower software to optimize production work cells and product flow through the assembly process. The eMPower products will also be used by Sola Basic management as a key part of their initiative to develop a corporate standard of enterprise-wide process planning, optimization and execution by providing a collaborative, Web-based work environment throughout its plants.
In todays expanded manufacturing environment, manufacturers often find themselves competing for businesses with companies around the globe. Tecnomatix will help keep Sola Basic one step ahead of any potential competition not only in Mexico, but anywhere else in the world said Israel Levy, CEO of Tecnomatix Unicam. Sola Basics implementation of our eMPower for Electronics solutions demonstrates the power and benefits available to help manufacturers reduce costs, optimize production processes and accelerate time to market.
