LPKF, a leading manufacturer of laser and electronic systems, announces it will highlight the ProtoMat S-Series, E33 and ProtoLaser S in Stand #23 at the upcoming PCB Carolina Expo, scheduled to take place Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the Raleigh Convention Center in North Carolina.

The ProtoMat S-Series is quick, accurate and easy to use. For nearly 35 years, LPKF circuit board plotters have been meeting and even surpassing user requirements. The S-Series circuit board plotters are bench top systems ideal for virtually all in-house PCB prototyping. Features such as automatic tool change, solder paste dispenser and automatic milling depth adjustment create ease of use for anyone in the electronics lab. With high speed, repeatability and an easy-to-use software package, the ProtoMat S-Series can produce PCBs and other applications in a matter of minutes.

The ProtoLaser S boasts high-speed laser circuit structuring and easy operation. The LPKF ProtoLaser S creates circuits with pristine edge quality at an extremely fast rate, eliminates the use of tools and chemicals, and is ideal for prototypes and even medium-run production. The potential to produce highly precise geometries on almost any material makes the ProtoLaser S the perfect system for the production of antennas, filters and high-speed digital circuits as well as numerous other applications that require precise geometries and pristine edge quality.

Also represented at the show, the ProtoMat® E33 is an entry-level milling machine for in-house rapid PCB prototyping. This compact system is a great introduction to PCB structuring and comes with powerful software to effectively support the user during the milling process. It eliminates the need for external vendors and encourages those with limited budgets a more practical use such as exercises, experiments and educational applications. The ProtoMat® E33 has the ability to create single- or double-sided circuit board prototypes without the use of chemicals, will drill holes for plated vias, depanel individual units from the base material, and engrave the front panel of housings.

LPKF Laser & Electronics is the world leading manufacturer of both mechanical and laser systems for demanding tasks in printed circuit board technology and microelectronics. LPKF’s worldwide headquarters is located in Garbsen, Germany outside of Hannover and the company maintains North American headquarters in Portland, OR.
