Last month, the company produced a 275,000 net square feet, 1,400 exhibitor event at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. Its size will likely qualify the event as Canon�s third entry in Tradeshow Week�s prestigious "Tradeshow 200" list.
The Rosemont event featured the first co-location of three major shows�National Manufacturing Week, Assembly Technology Expo, and Quality Expo, acquired from Reed Exhibitions�and two new ones, Electronics Assembly Show and PLASTEC Midwest, of Canon�s own creation. Attendance exceeded 26,000 buyers, and on-site exhibitor renewals for the 2008 show reached 70% of available space.

"We do a tremendous number of shows on an annual basis and the quantity and quality of the leads were outstanding. The new show is expected to showcase 300 exhibiting companies and attract 4,000 medical design and manufacturing professionals. Its exposition will be accompanied by a concurrently running technical conference. Strong space sales have already been reported for MD&M Midwest.
