Made in China 2025” to Be a Focus

The Chinese stock market has seen dramatic growth in 2015, with startups and the Shenzhen Composite Index rising to unbelievable heights. Behind the huge growth is a commitment by the national government to facilitating the sustained growth of industries such as internet+ and information technology.

In May 2015, the State Council launched the Chinese version of the Industry 4.0 strategy: Made in China 2025. This strategy sets out the growth path of the Chinese manufacturing sector and outlines numerous positive signs for further growth and development. Thanks to positive domestic momentum, NEPCON South China 2015, to be held at Shenzhen Conference and Exhibition Center from August 25 to August 27, will align the industry with national development strategies. The event will continue to feature top products from the fields of innovative electronics manufacturing equipment, automation technologies, and manufacturing upgrades. As an influential trade event, NEPCON South China 2015 will help shape the all-new industry chain in China’s electronic manufacturing industry and help promote the “Made in China 2025” strategy.

The largest, longest-standing electronics manufacturing event in South China, NEPCON South China 2015 will take place alongside Shenzhen International Circuit Sourcing Show 2015. During the three-day event, new products, materials, and technologies covering SMT, soldering, test and measurement, and electronics manufacturing automation will be on show. A range of side activities will be held too, including EMA automation, service robotics, applications and more. Exhibitors, trade visitors, industry colleagues, and representatives of academia will exchange on industry issues in a relaxed environment, learning and sharing information on new industry developments.

Four Key Advantages Enable NEPCON South China To Support Industry Growth

Shenzhen has been home to NEPCON South China for decades. The city remains a key IT industry hub in China, and the world, boasting HQs and offices of top companies like Huawei, Foxconn, ZTE, Skyworth, TCL, and Great Wall. These companies are IT, home appliance, and electronics leaders in China. Global electronics manufacturing giants also come to Shenzhen to set up bases. Today, the city features a complete electronics manufacturing industry chain, which is driving Shenzhen towards an elevated status as a global industry leader.

In addition, thanks to favorable state policies and the transition of the global IT industry, Shenzhen and its surrounding areas are enjoying increasingly favorable conditions in terms of geography, policy support, HR talent and technologies. The industry is growing at a rapid pace. Over the years, the IT industry has driven growth in the Pearl River Delta, with computing, computer peripherals, software, communication, electronics, components, and AV as key products, registering annual growth rates of 66%.

Today, the IT industry is the most important industry pillar in South China, providing major growth, strong competitiveness, and closely linking to other industries. The fast-growth IT industry is also helping Shenzhen build up a key IT R&D and production hub in China and the world. Shenzhen is also increasingly closely linked with its surrounding cities, including Guangzhou, Huizhou, Foshan, Zhongshan, and Zhuhai, all of which have a strong IT presence. The cities have an IT corridor that may lead to even bigger business opportunities for the entire region.

Shenzhen started from humble beginnings of high levels of sub-contracting, coupled with a real lack of IP and hi-tech capabilities. These limitations hampered the city’s growth. In light of the recent global industry slowdown, Shenzhen is exploring its strategic positioning and is determined to build on its rich electronics manufacturing expertise to develop native innovations.

A particular focus will be on electronics manufacturing and equipment backed up by better trade. Now, thanks to the opportunities offered by the national IT industry upgrade process, Shenzhen is embracing expanded business opportunities in terms of R&D and trade. It is also China’s lead IT industry hub, boasting an annual output worth over RMB 1 trillion (USD 161.2 billion). It is already a key electronics centre in China and the world. The South China market, with Shenzhen at its core, is the frontier for future growth: the future of China’s IT industry hinges on the dynamics in Shenzhen.

Local Chinese Firms Grow As International Brands Join ‘China Game’

As the most important development center for electronics manufacturing, Shenzhen is building on its strategic position and expansion strategy to attract even more local and international industry leaders to China. For exhibitors to demonstrate new products, materials and technologies at NEPCON South China 2015 is a must. The event’s impressive influence helps them to expand market opportunities in China.

NEPCON South China 2015 has made great strides in attracting exhibitors. Several hundred companies have already signed agreements to showcase products and solutions at the event, including ASM, Panasonic, JUKI, Yamaha, Samsung Techwin, Mycronic, Evest, and ASYS in the SMT section. Also, BTU, Coulter, Rehm Thermal Systems, Heller Industries, Nitto Denko, Folungwin, Nihon Superior, OK International and Quick will feature in the soldering section. Dage Electronics, Bamei, Gaoyong Technologies, Mirtec, Omron, Saikai, Juzi, Magic Ray, VISCOM, Shimadzu, and TRI will display in the test and measurement section; while ABB, Kuka, Stäubli, Chneeberger, Hiwin, Robo Technik, Festo and Leisai will feature in the electronics manufacturing automation section.

Exhibitors will feature new products, cutting-edge technologies and solutions, thereby greatly enhancing the show experience for visitors. Additionally, more Chinese electronics manufacturers are joining the local industry. Building on years of technological development, local companies have made major breakthroughs on multiple fronts, including automatic test and measurement, soldering, consumables, and printing. Leveraging the important trade platform offered by NEPCON South China, local exhibitors will exchange on the huge business potential within the industry and expand their business channels.

Electronics Manufacturing Automation: Key Concept Drives Industry Growth

In recent years, the Chinese electronics manufacturing industry has developed substantively. Today, the industry is a pillar of the national economy. China has become the world’s biggest, fastest-growing electronics manufacturing market. However, against a backdrop of global industry uncertainty and a dip in competitiveness, the electronics industry development is being challenged by rising HR costs. Over-reliance on low labor costs has created a big problem, and the challenge of how to address this issue and help companies lower operational costs through automation solutions is high on the industry agenda. How can manual labor be replaced with automation, and push the envelop of processes, in an effort to improve product quality? These questions have to be answered by improving overall industry technological strength. New electronics manufacturing concepts have been a hot topic among manufacturers from the very beginning.

NEPCON South China 2015 will feature an electronics manufacturing automation section to demonstrate industry trends. The inclusion of this section at the event significantly boosts the importance of electronics manufacturing in the overall industry landscape, which in turn will attract more exhibitors. Leading international brand names, ABB and Kuka, are confirmed for the event. More are expected to confirm in the coming days and weeks. The event will also help the industry to explore the state of electronics manufacturing in China and worldwide. Discussions will serve as a barometer of industry health and reveal prospects for further upgrades. The next wave of advancements in electronics manufacturing is expected soon.

Summits to Keep Pace with Industry Trends, Provide Development Barometer

As a key barometer for future industry development, NEPCON South China 2015 covers all key industry sectors like touch-based controls, automotive electronics, printed electronics, communications, big data, smart wearables, smart home, and many other advanced topics. Leveraging rich networking opportunities and far-reaching influence, the organizers will gather key decision makers, experts, senior buyers, and trade visitors across a range of side activities, such as high-quality forums that explore future development trends.

Additional to existing side events on EMA automation, smart wearables, the 2015 ESD summit, the SMT Home Community meeting, the INEMI Seminar, the SMTA East China Meeting and the Automotive Electronics Development Forum, new activities continue to be added to the busy show schedule, including service robotics technologies and applications, the touch-based display development seminar, the printed electronics and micro-assembly technology forum, smart home summit, communications electronics seminar, LED forum, the SMTA competition and more. Experts, industry leaders and trade insiders will come together to explore development opportunities. Leading entrepreneurs will deliver keynotes to share insights on industry growth. All participants will benefit from these complementary activities in a way that help them keep abreast of market trends, expand market opportunities, coordinate and share innovation advances.

Among the wide range of activities, the smart wearable seminar is the most attention-grabbing. Thanks to the catalyst provided by 4G and mobile internet, in 2014 and 2015 the world was abuzz with the term “smart wearables”. Now smart wearables are penetrating every part of our lives, including our clothing, our homes, transportation and everyday use. Behind smart wearables are hi-tech components, materials, and system solutions, which are gaining great momentum.

The Smart Wearables Seminar, to take place during NEPCON South China 2015, is designed to attract even more industry professionals and give updates on the latest technologies and products. Also, the seminar will provide opportunities for brands, manufacturers and solution providers to interact in person. As well as live demos, the seminar will feature expert insights on further development trends.

2015 Shenzhen International Circuit Sourcing Show to Be Collocated with NEPCON South China 2015 - More Synergies, Greater Added Value

Save the date for NEPCON South China 2015 and check out CS Show 2015, the biggest event in the PCB industry, too. Under the theme of “Innovation Drive”, CS Show 2015 will run concurrent to NEPCON South China, providing a cooperation platform for PCB makers and IT companies. Both events will be the ideal place to demonstrate innovative, green, smart PCB production, as well as raw materials.

China boasts strong PCB production capacity, but lacks a platform to link upstream and downstream industries. The absence of such a platform results in redundancy in terms of resource and technological input. Based in South China, which has the most advanced electronics manufacturing facilities in the world, CS Show 2015 is committed to providing the most valuable trade platform for high quality PCB suppliers and the electronics manufacturing industry chain. The one-stop PCB/FPC procurement service at the event will contribute to dialog between global buyers and PCB suppliers. In turn, this will help the Chinese PCB industry to transition from mere factory production to global marketing activities. Capacity in the PCB trade will improve, while the market will maintain a healthy growth momentum.
