Last month, representatives from Reed Exhibitions made the journey to IPC APEX Expo in San Diego, CA, where they hosted an exclusive luncheon for Mexican reps, press and industry leaders.
The luncheon was aimed at encouraging Mexican reps and business to attend NEPCON China in Shanghai (April) and Shenzhen (August), where they can get a close look at the Chinese market, and buy from Chinese companies to resell in Mexico.
“China has become the world electronics manufacturing hub after more than 30 years of development,” commented Wilson Fung, Vice President of Reed Exhibitions. “EMS factories in China like FOXCONN not only import world-class SMT equipment from abroad, but also purchase from local equipment suppliers. Today, China equipment suppliers produce pick-and-place, soldering and inspection machines as well as high-quality robotic equipment. Electronic manufacturers in South America have more options to buy equipment from China at affordable prices.”
Fung briefly spoke at the luncheon, and he expressed that Reed would be honored to host these companies from South America during their visit to the NEPCON shows, and introduce the leading local China equipment suppliers to Mexican reps.
Reed also gifted attendees with traditional Chinese Paper Cuttings used for decoration.
