Maynard, MA., August 21, 2008- Orchid Technologies Engineering & Consulting, experts in design of custom electronic products, completes the development of a LORAN Software Radio Receiver is designed for long range navigation. Orchid Technologies ed the Texas Instruments TMS320C6713 floating point DSP processor for the four-channel LORAN receiver implementation.

Built for flexibility and power, the 500MHz TMS320C6713 provides high performance floating point processing to make the receiver highly configurable.

The analog front-end design with variable gain and 'Q' is perfect for changing conditions on land and sea. The highly ive system provides software controlled gain ion over 120dB of dynamic range.
