Fuji Machine Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is proud to announce the release of the DynaHead (HX) and HexaFeeder for our electronic component mounting machines (placing machines). DynaHeads are supported on AIMEX II and AIMEX IIS machines. HexaFeeders are supported on NXT II, NXT III machines as well as AIMEX-series machines.
The remarkable progress of electronics and next generation communications infrastructure is based on production lines used to produce electronic circuit boards. There have been increasing calls for flexibility and ability to handle changes for these production systems. Furthermore, there are demands to improve productivity and reduce changeover time. To meet these demands, Fuji has developed the DynaHead and HexaFeeder.
The DynaHead is an extremely versatile high-speed placing head that automatically switches the tool being used during production between the high-speed 12 nozzle tool, the 4 nozzle general purpose tool, and the large odd-form part single nozzle tool.
HexaFeeders allow you to set six 8 mm tapes in the space of four 8 mm tape feeders. This effectively increases the loadable quantity of parts 50%.
You can get the following benefits from combining these two newly developed units.
1. Increased flexibility for supporting sudden schedule changes.
A single DynaHead can support parts from the smallest 0402 (01005") chips up to 74 x 74 mm (100 x 32) with heights up to 25.4 mm tall. In addition, you can flexibly support sudden production plan changes in which the ratio of small to large parts changes with the synergistic effect of HexaFeeders.
2. Reduced changeover time.
Due to the DynaHead automatically changing tools during production, there is no need to exchange or worry about the head in the machine. In addition, you can put more parts in the machine than previously to reduce the amount of changeover by using HexaFeeders.
3. Realize high productivity and high quality.
You can always get the best speed and quality during production with the DynaHead due to it automatically exchanging to the optimum tool for speed and quality based on the individual parts.
By being able to remove and exchange the six individual cassettes for parts in a HexaFeeder, you can supply and exchange parts during production. (This is the same benefit that current single feeders offer.)
The DynaHead is scheduled to be supported by Fuji's NXT III and we also plan to develop a glue tool for this head.
