Scheugenpflug AG is now part of the Swedish industrial group Atlas Copco. The closing of the purchase agreement took place on January 2, 2020, after the competition authorities had also approved the planned acquisition. The existing Managing Board of the dispensing technology specialist is strengthened by Olaf Leonhardt as new Chairman of the Managing Board.

Neustadt/Donau, January 17, 2020: Since January 2, 2020, Scheugenpflug AG is officially part of the Atlas Copco Group. The acquisition announced at the end of October 2019 has been approved by the competition authorities. Scheugenpflug now operates within Atlas Copco's "Industrial Assembly Solutions" (IAS) division as a new, independent business line focusing on "Electronic Dispensing". Other business lines of the IAS division cover "Mechanical Joining" and "Industrial Dispensing".

As the new Chairman of the Managing Board, Olaf Leonhardt from the Atlas Copco Group strengthens the existing Managing Board of Scheugenpflug AG. Olaf Leonhardt has more than 20 years of global leadership and management experience and brings more than 25 years of know-how in the field of adhesive bonding and dispensing to the new position. From 2018 to 2020 he was General Manager of Atlas Copco IAS GmbH.

As part of Atlas Copco, Scheugenpflug not only strengthens its position as a supplier of premium dispensing solutions with high automation competence. The global presence of the Swedish industrial group also provides the dispensing technology specialist with enhanced opportunities to achieve its growth targets. Thanks to the worldwide sales and service network and the comprehensive technology portfolio that Atlas Copco brings together under one roof, Scheugenpflug AG will be able to support its customers even more proficiently and comprehensively in the future.
