Gary Cai brings thermal and solar cell processing experience to strengthen BTU’s marketing team.
BTU International, Inc., a leading supplier of advanced thermal processing equipment and processes to the alternative energy and electronics manufacturing markets, announces the addition of Gary Cai as product manager for BTU’s in-line diffusion equipment.
Cai comes to BTU from Axcelis Technologies where he most recently worked as principal applications scientist for ion implant and rapid thermal processing. He also worked as engineering manager of a team at NA Polysilicon Technology that designed a 1500 ton poly-silicon factory for the solar industry. A veteran of the semiconductor industry, Cai holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma State University and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Southeastern University in Nanjing, China.
“We have over 2 GW of in-line diffusion equipment installed, making BTU the clear market leader,” said BTU’s vice president of marketing Jan Paul van Maaren. “With Gary’s help, we are confident that we can strengthen and grow our in-line diffusion business.” Cai is looking forward to working with the team and using his expertise to bring reduced cost-per-watt solutions to BTU’s customers.
