KIC, the leader of thermal process development and control products, and winner of multiple industry awards, announces that it has been awarded a Global Technology Award in the category of Environmentally Friendly Products/Services for its Auto-Focus Power Software. The award was presented to the company during a Tuesday, November 15, 2011 ceremony that took place at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre in Munich, Germany during Productronica 2011.
This next-generation thermal process optimization system searches all available oven recipes and automatically selects the optimum process for individual applications within seconds. The standard Auto-Focus automatically selects the recipe that positions the process in the center of the process window, or alternatively, the fastest conveyor speed.
The new, advanced Auto-Focus Power software adds a third optimization criterion, namely by selecting the recipe that yields lower oven electricity consumption. Third-party research has verified the ability of the Auto-Focus Power option to reduce energy consumption up to 15 percent. This key feature results in significant cost savings in today’s environment of high energy prices.
