1mm Pitch Discrete Wire System Offers High Reliability

Samtec recently introduced a new 1mm pitch discrete wire system ideal for rugged applications where a highly reliable connection must be maintained. The cable assembly and connector feature a space-saving design and a choice of options to ensure a proper fit. 

The new Discrete Wire Cable (S1SS Series) and Connector (T1M Series) feature a crimp style dual leaf contact system on a 1mm (.0394") pitch for reliable wire-to-board connection. An optional rugged retention latch system provides higher withdrawal forces for harsh environments.

The pin and socket system is available in a single row design with up to 20 total pins. A choice of 28 or 30 AWG cable, double or single ended and is available with a 3 inch assembled length minimum. The surface mount connector is available in various space-saving right angle or vertical configurations. Optional pick and place pads are also available for precise placement on the PCB.

Samtec offers a large selection of discrete wire systems as complete assemblies or individual components, ideal for a variety of application requirements. Tiger Eye™ assemblies are designed for rugged applications, with high reliability Tiger Eye™ contacts on 1,27mm or 2mm pitches, while Mini Mate® and Power Mate® discrete wire power systems feature individually shrouded contacts. For high power applications, PowerStrip™ assemblies are available in a choice of pitches and current carrying capacities.
