Aqueous Technologies Corp., North America’s largest provider of batch defluxing systems and cleanliness testing equipment, announces that it is been awarded a 2012 EM Asia Innovation Award in the category of Cleaning Equipment for its Typhoon High Performance Inline Cleaning/Defluxing System. The award was presented to the company during an April 26, 2012 ceremony in Shanghai during NEPCON China.

Typhoon is the industry’s newest, most advanced inline cleaning/defluxing system. The system contains numerous performance and safety features that are not available on any other inline cleaning system. Typhoon is equipped with the industry’s only rotating airknife. The turbine-powered airknife provides a greater effective drying area than fixed-position airknives. Typhoon blends fixed position and rotating airknives for the ultimate drying performance.

The unique 60° angled stainless steel nozzle design delivers fluid to assemblies with a superior impingement angle, allowing for better under component penetration. Typhoon's extra wide stainless steel conveyor belt accommodates up to 24" (609mm) wide.

Typhoon is equipped with a fully digital control panel featuring eight digital pressure gauges, digital wash and rinse temperature controllers, and a digital conveyor speed controller. With the largest windows in the industry, an operator has complete visibility of assemblies as they are washed, rinsed, and dried in the industry's most advanced and safest inline cleaning / defluxing system.

Aqueous Technologies’ President Michael Konrad said, “Aqueous Technologies is proud to introduce a new generation of inline cleaning equipment. There has been so little evolution in the inline cleaner segment and the need for change and improvement was strong. Aqueous Technologies’ vision includes the sale of products that are inherently safe, environmentally safe, effective, and provide value to its users. The Typhoon class inline defluxing systems fully satisfy our corporate vision.”

Established in 2006, the EM Asia Innovation Awards program strives to recognize and celebrate excellence in the Asian electronics industry, inspiring companies to achieve the highest standards and push the industry forward.
