SMTA Announces Best of Conference From 2012 SE Asia Technical Conference

 The SMTA just announced the Best of Conference Award recipient from the South East Asia Technical Conference on Electronics Assembly Technologies that took place April 18-20, 2012, in Penang, Malaysia. The Best of Conference Award was presented to Mike Bixenman, Kyzen Corporation, for his workshop on "Designing for Reliability - Cleaning Basics in the Age of High Density Interconnects."  The workshop was very well-attended and received high scores from attendees.

Technical sessions offered high quality technical information on topics including Soldering Processes and Materials, Soldering Challenges Including Head in Pillow, Business and Supply Chain, Harsh Environments, Through Hole Soldering Processes, Substrates and Printed Circuit Boards, Components and Advanced Packaging.

The conference would not have been possible without the skillful guidance of the technical committee chair LyGuat Lee, Ph.D., Flextronics, and committee members KL Lim, Plexus, Lian-Huat Ng, Plexus, Teng Hoon Ng, Celestica, Inc., Jonas Sjoberg, Flextronics, AK Tan, Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd, and David Vetharudge, Listech Technology.
