ACD, a leading supplier to the electronics industry, recently celebrated the 25-year anniversary of one of its Senior Designers — Hal McLarry. Hal has grown with the company from when it was only six years old with six employees to more than 175 employees today.
McLarry joined ACD in 1987, drawing schematics with pencil and paper. He then learned how to use Cadnetix, the first icon-based design software. Hal pioneered many of the design procedures at ACD. He was a member of the Compaq support design team and worked on several of the Compaq server motherboards. Hal has extensive experience ranging from high-frequency RF to large multi-processors, power, blind/buried technology ATE and more. Hal continues to expand his abilities and train the next generation.
ACD’s President & CEO Scott Fillebrown commented about McLarry’s milestone anniversary with the company, “Hal is liked by his peers and his customers. He learned quickly, and now imparts his knowledge and wisdom onto those around him. ACD is fortunate to have Hal on the team.”
At ACD, the foundation of a good PCB starts with an emphasis on communication between the designer and the engineer. The company provides design consultation, intuitive placement and routing focused on good signal integrity with low EMI as well as CAM verified Gerber output.
