AdoptSMT announces that Fujitsu has added further Premium Parts to the portfolio already supplied by AdoptSMT. These Premium Parts will be used for the machine maintenance in their PCB Assembly department in Augsburg, Germany.
Fujitsu is the only company producing notebooks, servers and add-ons for IT in Germany and proves that high volume electronics production in Europe can still compete successfully with production in Asia. Besides “German Quality” and being close to their customers, high flexibility of the production is an advantage of Fujitsu. They still have to have competitive prices on the market. In a fast moving market with almost daily new developments, prices and options, new products need to be produced and shipped almost overnight.
Besides employee qualification Franz Xaver Köhler, Team Manager Printed Circuit Assembly at Fujitsu Augsburg, puts a lot of effort into optimizing the preventive maintenance of Fujitsu’s production lines in order to keep the machine availability at a high level. He explains “To stay ahead in our very competitive market we always have to search for cost reductions. But these may in no circumstance reduce our quality. Therefore we always perform extensive tests before approving new spare parts, consumables or working procedures.” Also after successfully introducing several AdoptSMT consumable articles during the last years at Fujitsu, therefore they still put a new article, a valve plunger for use in SIPLACE SMT placement machines, through the same approval process: first mechanically testing and then undertaking a test run on a SIPLACE star head in production simulation for the period of a normal life cycle of this part. Then a complete production line was equipped with these AdoptSMT Premium Parts and was operated through a full maintenance cycle. Only after the production line ran for this period without problems and the valve plungers showed normal wear when examined after this period, these articles were approved.
AdoptSMT guarantees the consistent high quality by performing their own tests in addition to the tests of the manufacturer and holds a large stock to ensure fast and safe delivery of these consumable spare parts.
